The main focuses of the print workshop are monoprinting and printing on fabric.
We use the DinA3 gravure press, screen frames and printing plates made of linoleum and copper, for example, to approach the subject of printing in art experimentally.
Monoprinting is my preferred printmaking method, which I like to use as preparation for my paintings.
Printing on fabric is in preparation. Subjects include katazome, a paper stencil printing from Japan and other paper stencil processes related to screen printing, classic linocut and woodcut, and experimental monoprinting. These fabrics are great for patchwork for quilts.
My approach is focused on the process and open to improvisation.
