There is no novelty that is wholly novel. There’re always antecedent conditions.

Cornel West (in his Masterclass)

The workshop talks - a combination of artist talk and workshop - are at the interface of art, craft and society. With a changing focus, different artistic and craft methods are presented that can be explored during participation. We draw references to strategies of artistic creation, contemporary positions and art history. We invite guests who can provide insights into special thematic topics, such as textile as a artistic material, quilting, embroidery in art, social aspects of textile art, color in painting.

I'm not trying to make magic of some kind that would impress an audience as to how the work is created. There are no secrets. The philosophical or psychological question here is how, as an artist, I give myself the authority to make art.

Hassan Sharif

The idea comes while speaking.
Kleist
(About the gradual forming of thoughts while speaking)

When we make art, we leave a fingerprint of ourselves and of our relationship to the world.

The idea for the workshop talks has developed over a long period of time. She is born from the simple desire to make art and art creation accessible and a comprehensive experience. Above all, the talks are meant to be an invitation to participate 'at eye level'. They allow a personal interaction.
