For many artists, working with the human figure is an exciting and deeply rewarding experience.

In this course, you will learn the principles of drawing in direct contact with the model or deepen your knowledge.
Together we will analyze the results with regard to a perception-based image construction and try out different ways of drawing. This includes linear and tonal studies, the articulation of space, line, surface, and expression, and experimenting with a wide range of drawing materials, both wet and dry.

Individual lessons, theoretical background, and informal discussions offer a broader context for your work in the studio.

In the drawing, we explore the connection between observation, drawing, and composition.
Drawing is also regularly used to prepare a painting.
For much of history, drawing has been considered the basis for artistic practice.
